Vintage Louis Vuitton 4 Expandable Leather Attache Brief Case
A truly rare and unusual vintage Louis Vuitton 4 expandable leather attache case. A combination of the traditional Louis Vuitton dark brown repeating initial material with a gorgeous light brown leather edging. I have never seen another one like this! The hardware itself indicates it was made in Cagiva, Italy. The inside of the case is a gorgeous chocolate suede material along with the traditional Louis Vuitton repeating initials. There are four snaps which release an expandable section. I did not attempt to expand the case.
The thickness of the expansion material indicates that the case would increase in size by one to one and a half inches. Everything appears fully functional on the case.
The Locking mechanisms work and are set to 000. The hinges are good and the handle is sturdy. The handle has an inner strip of leather which could use a glue down but would be undetectable after that. The biggest issue with the case was my fault!I once carried it from the car during a light rain and the top of the case is dotted with darker rain spots. I never attempted to clean it or use leather conditioners to rectify the situation. I leave that to you. Some of the stitched leather edging could use a glue down as well but everything appears to be intact.
Please see the last photo for an example of the loose edging. The leather itself has some scuffs and marks as seen in the photos. All in all the case is in really nice condition with the exceptions noted. You will be unique carrying this amazing attache!
