Tinted Daguerreotype Photo Glasses Man & His Pretty Wife Full Leather Case 1800s

Half-plate daguerreotype in full leather case. Seated man wearing eyeglasses and his pretty wife.

Both have lightly tinted pink cheeks. Case is 6 inches tall x 4+ inches wide when closed.

Dag is in a full and complete leather case, with no repairs. Case has light wear to the leather. The dag is bright and clear, sharp with very good contrast. It was resealed with archival tape in 2008. The overall condition of the plate is very good.. There is a very small swipe right up against the edge of the mat about the middle of the left side.. This is hard to spot unless you're looking for it. Besides that and a tarnish ring, I spotted one or two pinprick sized mat abrasions. Visit my webstore for more daguerreotypes.
