6x with original Leather Case, limited edition, ca. These antique binoculars were the official standard issue manufactured for the Imperial German Military.
They are in great condition considering that they are about 109 years old. Please view all photos for overall condition and wear and tear. In March 2022, this item was assessed by an expert for historical Carl Zeiss binoculars, who I was referred to by the manufacturing company Carl Zeiss Jena in Germany. Featuring brass casing cover and lens caps, this version has the high-quality peacetime design. The binoculars' design and materials would change over the course of WWI.According to their serial number'368465', this model was part of a special series limited to 400 copies and made between 1913 and 1914. Its objective lens diameter is 24mm and the maximum magnification is 6x.
The lenses are absolutely bright and clear and work like a charm. Original leather strap is still attached. Note: At that time, Carl Zeiss hadn't labeled those D. Come with their original leather-fitted case, one of the most beautiful that Carl Zeiss Jena has ever designed: The cover and the leather case appear to be formed from single pieces of leather!
