SUPERB ACCESSORY FOR VINTAGE CAR ENTHUSIAST. A collection of 34 Bartholomew'half inch to mile' coloured maps of England,'for motorists and cyclists', contained in their original vintage leather case, circa 1924. Luxury leather carrying case for maps. Leather handle on lid of case. Two metal locks to front of case (with original keys).

Original map'distance reader', gauged for inches to miles or Verstes. And centimetres to kilometres, contained in leather pouch on underside of lid. Case contains a total of 34 (of 37)'half inch to mile' maps, mainly of England, published in Edinburgh by. The maps are all segmented and laid on linen, as per the text on the cover.

Case measures 33cm x 22cm x 14cm. Maps fold out to 76cm x 55.5cm. The distance reader unglazed and in excellent shape. Maps very good with just the occasional scattered blemish / crease. Please ask if you require a more detailed condition report, or view gallery images closely.
