Opening the lid reveals the leather gilt embossed writing slope, within the lid a document compartment with makers label Halstaff & Hannaford 228 Regent St, London. The removable tray comprising stationary sections and writing instruments including letter opener, paper clip, pencils, lead holder, dip pen, a small card box labeled S. Mordan & Co Prepared Lead and a English Silver pencil retracting holder hallmarked; London, S. Mordan & Co, dated 1914 (30gm), along with the two brass topped later ink wells.

Brass fittings including working lock stamped; S. Fabulous original condition, having minor marks and signs of ware to case commensurate with age from a fastidious caring owner, such a highly collectable desirable quality piece that will only increase in value.
