Antique 19th C Leather Travel Vanity Case Hallmarked Solid Silver Accessories

Absolutely Stunning Navy Leather Travel Vanity Suitcase. Complete with matching Hallmarked Sterling Silver contents (listed below) and all in excellent condition considering age. Shoe Horn, Boot Hook, Brush and Hair Brush.

2 x perfume bottles glass (corks still in place within the silver lids). 1 x tall round glass bottle with screw top lid. 1 x short round glass bottle with screw top lid. 1 x oval glass jar with press on lid.

(The glass bottles are in beautiful condition no sign of chips or cracks and even the screw threads are clean & smooth). The silver pieces are all hallmarked Leopard (London), CD, (Charles Henry Dumenil) Italic A (1896). Charles Henry Dumenil were specialist makers of such travelling cases.

1 x leather covered'ink' well with press open lid. 1 x leather covered'light' case for matches (including striker) with press open lid. 1 x Bevelled edge mirror in fitted leather case (some damages).

1 x leather writing case / folder with pockets for stationary & pens etc. 1 x leather case with mother of pearl handled contents button hook, nail file & other (2 items missing).

The silk lining does show signs of wear in places. Namely, the straps to hold the lid in place when open are torn, some staining in places. The leather outer in in great condition with only light rubbing to corners. An outer canvas cover has done a good job of keeping the case protected. Clearly this has been a well cared for item.
