Prismatic Marching Compass as by 1916 all commissioned officers were issued their own Broad Arrow Compass. To have a private compass and case is exceptionally rare. To then add to this a named Officer formally engraved on the compass is even rarer.
Then add to these rare facts next to the name is also formally engraved the Regiment the Officer belong to, Norfolk Regiment, is exceptionally rare! This is a real survivor of the most horrific of wars and with further research you can find out exactly who owned it, what the individual went through and whether the he survived the War.
